Deep Thoughts for the Day: Brat Camp

that brat camp show... i don't really like it. it's okay. too much teen drama for my taste.

but i had it on anyway, since there's not much else on right now. if you don't know what it's about, it's basically a documentary following a bunch of troubled teens as they're 'rehabilitated' at a radical, middle of nowhere, very, very cold wilderness camp. it seems to focus on both physical and psychological therapy, but with heavy emphasis on the physical (wear em down) side.

this is a place where clueless parents shell out lotsa money to send their out of control kids for someone else to solve their problems. it's the american way.

and while yes, these kids do need help and appear to be getting it, what about their parents?

where's the bad parent camp? those kids didn't raise themselves. yet they're the only ones being held accountable.

i've said it before and i'll say it again. you need a license to drive. why don't you need a license to be a parent? which task is more important?
