Deep Thoughts: It's A Beautiful Day

the U2 song, "beautiful day", i really like it. and i find it kinda funny. i find it kinda sad. of all songs. of all poeople.

maybe it's just me, but, i find a kinda sadness it in. and a strand of hope. which i try my best to ignore. but, "what you don't have, you don't need it now." that's an appealing thought.

i used to ride my bike to it. among other songs. ghost rider by rush. it's been a while by staind, long way home by dokken, commisar by savatage. i could go on and on, but i won't,

i've just had this particular U2 song in my personal library for a while now and still, still i like it. "it's a beautiful day!" in a way it is. everyday. every god damn one of them.

in that sense that they're no more ours than anything else we imagine we possess. in that way that the more we want them the faster they leave us.

it's a beautiful day. if you believe the music. if you can still hear it.

  1. I find it kind of funny too, that you like this song. Never would have pictured you to like a song by U2; let alone It's A Beautiful Day.

I really like that song too. I like it's message. Especially the whole, what you don't have you don't need it now. I believe that too.
