Deep Thoughts: Alone

leave me.

sings her silence.

as is the truth this blood whispers. truer than life or death.

softer still, until no one can hear.

pounds her skull. ripples her flesh. i do remember what it is. to want to be felt. to anticipate touch. hungry for together.

her eyes change color in the darkness. she looks different only to herself.

no one else.

they no longer even look. they've seen the skeleton without its flesh. empty grave drowning in the remains of the dead.

the pages drink her thoughts and live again.

alone? she asks herself. and is convinced.

they murmur as their stains flower into words.

opening so wide and bright. like broken wrists. spilling out everything inside. until alone is all there is.
