Free Blogger Template 3 Switchable Color Schemes

3 color css switching blogger template

See a working blogger version of the template

My good sense told me not to do it, but I never listen to that. And here are the results of my ignorance. A blogger template with 3 color schemes built in and the ability for users to switch between the colors.

What a pain in the ass this was. Finding the right css switching script, plus a cookie script to remember the user's selection. Then making the images in different colors and three different stylesheets. Why did I do this.

Fortunately if you like only one of the colors it's easy to modify it to just display that one scheme. The instructions on how to modify it to use only one color are at the see the working version link above.

Unfortunately, because blogger won't let me host any files other than images I had to host the stylesheets and my savatoons.com domain and that tends to make the switching a little slow. But I am powerless to change that. I tried it where the pages and stylesheets were all hosted on the same domain and it worked beautifully, so if you hav your blog on your own domain/host and can do that, the style switching is going to work much quicker.

    Features:

  1. Post titles link to post pages

  3. All images are hosted by blogger photos, no need to edit the image references; no need to download any images

  4. Div overflows set to hidden to avoid unseemly layout spazes

  5. Tested in IE6, Opera7 & Firefox

  6. Scary clown image at top of pages - always a plus!
