Two Wheels

It's gotten so that I bike ride in the cold now. I simply can't wait any longer. So I don my winter cap and my thermal pants and my winter jacket and I set off just the same.

It's pretty harsh some mornings. 40 something F isn't really cycling weather, but I persevere. You have to take the chances that are there. It gets warmer as the day progresses.

Sometimes it looks like rain, but later the sun comes out. It's often windy, but that is the price for living near the ocean.

I'd like it if it were a little warmer. But non-summer traffic isn't something to take for granted. And a high of 53 F is a pretty nice ride if you're willing to shiver.

Daylight. That's really the only requirement.
